What is Peakboard?

Peakboard communicates data from various data sources simply, efficiently and individually on monitors - in real time. Employees at all levels and in all areas of the company get an overview of the most important key figures and ongoing processes enabling them to work more independently and efficiently. In production and logistics, there are use cases requiring the fast input and output of information to make processes as efficient as possible.

What is Peakboard Edge?

Peakboard Edge can directly input and output information through external devices. Peakboard Edge does not communicate via a display, but is always connected to a Peakboard Box. Input information e.g. from switches, push buttons, barcode scanners, RFID readers or light barriers is transmitted directly to the Peakboard Box via Peakboard Edge and also processed there. Output information is transmitted from the Peakboard Box to Peakboard Edge and displayed via for example signal lights or sound boxes. The use of Peakboard Edge significantly reduces data processing and transmission time (latency) and makes visualization more flexible. The data flow takes place via LAN or WLAN.

Use Cases

◾ Production

In case of an error, the worker pushes a button, which is connected to Peakboard Edge. The error is immediately communicated to the shift supervisor.
◾ Logistics I

Signal lights connected to Peakboard Edge are attached to the factory gates. When a truck arrives at the gate, the Peakboard Box sends the information about the gate availability from the logistics system to Peakboard Edge. Peakboard Edge then indicates the availability through a signal light.
◾ Logistics II

The warehouse worker uses an EAN code scanner connected to Peakboard Edge to scan the EAN codes on the parcels. Peakboard Edge sends the information to the Peakboard Box, which then displays the corresponding location of the pallet on the screen.
